Eagle Ridge Golf Academy turning students into players! Our goal is to get our students onto the golf course quickly, comfortably, and confidently. The programs we have created have one objective; to get our students playing golf immediately! Each of our programs integrates the techniques and fundamentals with the rules and etiquette so you can make the transition from the lesson tee to the golf course.

Already play golf but you are looking to improve your game and lower your score? Let us create the program for you. If you just need to learn to score better with the swing you have, we take you on the course and help you make better decisions and teach you the shots you may not know. If your equipment isn’t quite right for you and your game, then consider a professional club fitting with our professional staff.

The Golf Academy is open year round. Our programs include: Individual lessons, small groups, clinics, junior camps, women only, couples and family groups.

Rylee Plitz, PGA & LPGA Member - Head Golf Professional

Rylee is a long-time member of the teaching staff and has been the Lead Instructor since 2012 when she took the lead in overseeing group instruction programs and most recently became the Head Golf Professional.

Rylee’s impressive golf career showcases her dedication and skill in the sport. The former #1 player on the women’s golf team at Monmouth University, she playing ability has achieved numerous significant accomplishments:

  • First female to play in the NJSGA Open (2022)
  • Four-time NJPGA Women’s Champion (2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021)
  • 2020 NJPGA Pro-Junior Medalists
  • 2011 USGA Mid-Am Match Play Participant
  • 2008 Canadian Women’s Amateur Golf Championship T-24th
  • 2008 Lonnie Barton Invitational Medalist

These accomplishments highlight her consistent performance across various prestigious tournaments and her standing as a leader in women’s golf.

Rylee has a passion for teaching the game to juniors and manages our Junior Leagues. She is a US Kids Golf Honorable Mention award recipient, US Kids Golf Certified Coach, Golf Level 2 TPI Certified, LPGA Class A Member and in 2020 earned her PGA Class Membership.

Joseph Murphy, PGA Member

Joseph was elected to PGA Member in 2013 and most recently completed the PGA Certification in Teaching & Coaching as well as the Golf Level 2 TPI Certification. Joseph has worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Westlake G&CC for five years under Kevin Maciorowski, and now is currently the Director of Fitting Development & Master Club Builder at Perfect Swing in Toms River. Joseph joined the Eagle Ridge Golf Academy in 2016.
